Weekly Crush: TLo’s Book, NARSissist, truBlend is on trend, & DKNY Spring ’14
It’s a new year and with that comes a brand new Weekly Crush when we recap all the things we’ve found this week that we are crushing on. This week our crushes include a book from one of the bitchiest bloggers we know, fab beauty finds, and of course a bit of fashion to keep on your radar.
1. “Everyone Wants to Be Me or Do Me” is the new book by bloggers Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez (available everywhere Feb. 4th). I am sure I could try to come-up with something witty to describe this book but instead I’m just going to say that this book is for every celebrity obsessed daydreamer out there i.e. myself. The book is a perfect extension of the bitchy, snarky yet honest remarks we’ve all come to know, love and agree (or disagree) with over the last few years and brings a new, much needed voice to the style book category. I was so into it I read it in two days. Available for pre-order on Amazon.com
2. If you know me (or read this website often) then you know I have a crush on NARS cosmetics. It started off all innocent with a velvet mate lip pencil and now they have a new palette that is totally crush-worthy. The NARSissist palette is made up of 15 signature shades that are perfect for everyday to an ultra-glam night. Available online only now.
3. Have you heard, blending is trending! I’ve been giving the new and improved COVERGIRL truBlend a try for the last few weeks and I have to say I’m in love.The brilliance of the truBlend formula is that it is a water-based foundation (vs. silicone based) so it is more similar to skin allowing for almost undetectable blending that translates into a flawless look and feel. 4. Its a little hard to think about spring fashion when we are bundling up in coats that look like sleeping bags, but alas the new spring 2014 collections are making their ways into a store/website near you. An early spring crush is the “Rissa” peep-toe bootie from DKNY. I love the orange but it is also available in black and black/white polka dots. This little bootie screams spring/summer style and will go great with a dress, pants or shorts. Available online and DKNY retails stores.
