Tips and Tricks to Get That Red Carpet Glam Look at Home
Awards season is the perfect time to see many new celebrity trends. This year, we sat down with Celebrity Makeup Artist Amy Nadine and Celebrity Hairstylist Kylee Heath and saw that the big trends were metallic dresses, nude lips and effortless blending hair. These pros gave us some tips on how we can look Red Carpet Glam at home.
People’s Choice Awards
“Barely-there makeup won the carpet. Natural lighter tones and nude lips were on almost every woman.”- Amy Nadine
For Glowing skin, use cream based products to create a natural look then mattify the T-Zone with an anti-shine product (we recommend the COVERGIRLtruMagic Collection and Olay Fresh Effect Dew Over! Hydrating Gel Moisturizer).
For a Metallic Sparkle smudge, draw attention to the lashline instead of the crease by adding high shimmer on top, creating instant drama (we recommend the COVERGIRL Queen Collection Shadow Pot).
To get the Perfect Pout, matte lipstick has taken a back seat, and the lined, colored and glosses lip has taken center stage (we recommend the COVERGIRL Lip Perfection line and Crest 3D White Strips Professional Effects).
“I loved the effortless looking, thrown-together hair. There’s lots of great texture.”- Kylee Heath
For a sleek, yet soft look, use a hard side part with messy undone texture, or sleek middle part with messy bun (we recommend Pantene Damage Detox line).
Break up a structured dress with a tousled blend of in-between curl and wave (we recommend Vidal Sassoon Repair Heat & Protect Shine Spray).
“The big trend for tonight’s SAG Awards is a hint of spring on the lips. From tangerine-reds to rosy-pinks to rasberry, it’s an unltra-feminine and flirty look thank’s really flattering. Especially paried with an effortless eye and gorgeous skin”. – Amy Nadine
“Deep side parts and softly swept hair pulled back low. The is classis yet the asymmetry gives it an unexpected twist. The sleek looks played off of all the soft pastels and rich blues we saw on the carpet, proving that simplicity doesn’t ever go out of style.” – Kylee Heath
“Tonight’s beauty stars are bedroom eyes! We saw a softer side with ultra=feminie makeup that concentrates the drama on the lashline. Try an eyeliner in sliver for a softer look than black, but still incredibly intese and a couple coats of mascara for head-turning lashes.” – Amy Nadine
To try this trend at home we recommend COVERGIRL Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Silver Spark and COVERGIRL Bombshell Volume Mascara
“Hello meallic, glittered and beaded dresses and blondes! From platinum to golden, all shades of blonde were respresented. I also loved all the braids and twists, whether it was structured or tousled with multiple braides creating a half-up half-down look” – Kylee Heath
To try this trend at home we recommend Clairol Age Defy in 8G Medium Gold Blonde and Gillete Venus & Olay Razor for smooth gams.
With these tips you can look as glam as these celebrities!
