The Plus+ Size Life – NYC Friday Casual

If you’ve ever been to the city then you know, us New Yorker’s love us some all black clothing. It’s chic, edgy, looks good on everyone, and doesn’t show dirt.  So naturally I have gone from a gal who loved pink so much I wore it in my hair to a full fledged NYC woman wearing head to toe black.

One of my new FAVORITE purchases is a black faux-fur and croc embossed leather satchel from DKNY. It was love at first sight yet my budget was having none of it. Thankfully I had patience and waited, and waited some more till the day came when I could finally take her home. So how does one style such a fierce bag? Easy, by getting an edgy LBD to match. In this case its a chic, circle skirt, mesh dress with a lace bodice. Pair that with my trusty studded boots, black tights, and a red lip, and baby meet the new casual Friday that is NYC approved.

As a big bonus, this dress is mega fun to twirl in and bring out your inner 5-year old. Now if only my hair was in piggy tails 🙂
