The Plus+ Size Life: Leather & Polka Dots

I am happy to say that spring is finally making its way to NYC. After nearly two months on sub-zero temps, the sun was shining, snow melting, and I was able to leave my house without a jacket that could double as a sleeping bag.

To celebrate I broke out a dress I’ve been waiting almost a month to wear. This little number from UK plus size brand Simply Be is full of sass and subtle edge. The blue and black (or is it white and gold) polka dots combined with the faux-leather shell creates a fun layered look that fooled everyone into thinking I was wearing two separate pieces.

Now, it is still jacket weather so I traded in my sleeping bag for a fun scuba flare jacket that is the perfect modern blazer.  My footwear also got a trade in the form of flats from Rockport because as much as I love my trusty moto-boots, I needed something different on feet.
