Summer Smooth | mē 411
Ladies (and gents) summer season is closely approaching. This means it’s time to hit the pool, beach, backyard BBQ in shorts, skirts and swimsuits. This is normally the time of year when we all freak out because let’s be honest shaving, waxing, etc during the cold winter months is just not a priority (at least in my world). So I am introducing the Summer Smooth series talking about just that shaving, waxing, and other forms of hair removal. Now if you want to let your hair grow free and wild more power to you, but for those of us that like to be hair free this is for you.
I’ve already discussed waxing (which you can read here) and shaving (which you can read here) so today we are going to discuss at-home permanent hair removal. Yup gone are the days where you have to make expensive in-office appointments to permanently remove your unwanted hair. Thanks to devices from mē you can get relatively painless hair removal done all while binge watching Orange is the New Black at home.
To learn home about the process I spoke with mē Chief Marketing Officer, Andrea DiNunzio
MistiMichelle: How safe is it to use a permanent at-home hair removal device?
Andrea DiNunzio: All of mē’s at-home hair removal systems are FDA cleared and safe for all skin tones and the widest range of hair colors – even blondes. It is the same technology that has been found in doctor’s offices for over 20 years – specifically designed for use in the privacy of your home.
MM: How many treatments on average does it take before someone is hair free is their desired area?
AD: When used once a week for seven weeks, clinical results have shown 94% reduction of hair.
MM: Besides the permanent aspect, what other benefits are there to using a device like mē smooth?
AD: The ability to remove hair quickly in the comfort of your own home, is just one of the many benefits of the device. mē smooth is also completely painless, so the treatments are free from stinging or snapping. Unlike shaving or waxing, there are no nicks, cuts, in-grown hairs or bumps.
MM: Waxing and shaving each have their own unique set of rules, what should we know before using a mē device?
AD: Before using the device, you need to wax, epilate or shave so that the treatment area is smooth and clear of anything that could block the light energy.
MM: Are there any common myths around permanent hair removal that can be dispelled?
AD: One common myth is that permanent hair removal treatments are painful. mē smooth is pain-free – it feels like a warm compress on the skin – while offering clinically proven results in the comfort and privacy of your home.
