Summer 101: Sunscreen, Sunscreen, Sunscreen

Nicole and I just got back from sunny Las Vegas and even though I’ve been to Sin City multiple times, I always forget how strong the sun is. Thankfully we can prepared with tons of sunscreen that covered everything from our hair to our toes to try to avoid the dreaded sunburn.

Pool Use: Our clear favorite for when chilling by the pool (or beach) is Coppertone Clearly Sheer for Sunny Days. This sunscreen is so light weight that it melts right into your skin with not greasy residue leftover. As a bonus there is a Clearly Sheer Face formula that won’t clog your pores.  When we are taking a dip into the water, we reach for Coppertone Sport.  This baby is water resistant for up to 80 minutes however I try to stick by the “reapply when you get out of the water” rule.

Everyday Use: When walking the strip or just going back and forth between hotels we reached for Sun Bum. Not only does this sunscreen smell like a tropical vacation but it provides great coverage.  Sun Bum also makes a great 3-in-1 Leave In product that will help protect your hair from UV rays AND an SPF filled chapstick to keep your lips from burning (I applied this under my lip gloss).
