#SeeThe67 | The 67% Project

In late August I, along with four other amazing ladies, spent the day in a Chelsea studio filming a special project with Refinery 29. Some of you might have seen glimpses of that project on my Snapchat or Instagram and now I am happy to say the project is out and live in the world, and I’m sure a lot of you have already seen it.
I’m talking the 67% Project.
Just call me Gisele ❤️❤️❤️ #setlife

67% is a number that has been cropping up in media lately and no it is not a new election day poll, that number represents the amount of women in the U.S. who identify as plus-size. More than HALF of the country consider themselves to be plus-size yet less than 2% are represented in the media. I’m talking about ALL of the media: film, print, modeling, etc and to be honest when they are featured or covered by the media we are either the villain, the “fat, funny girl”, or as the fat girl who can only think about diets and weight loss, I’m looking at you NBC’s “This Is Us”.

The point of the 67% Project is to show that plus-size women NEED to represented in everything from the runway to stock images. We are not the DUFF or the sad, lonely girl. We are your daughters, friends, sisters, wives, girlfriends, and co-workers. We are a $20.4 BILLION fashion market yet most designers want to ignore and mock us.

Please watch and share this video. Tweet and talk about this.Use the hashtag #Seethe67. The more we talk, the more people cannot ignore us.
