Marvel’s Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. Recap – The Fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. Pt. 2

I know S.H.I.E.L.D. is a show I don’t recap every week but this weeks episode “One Door Closes” warranted not so much a recap but more of an thought process of where MCU is going with this.
If you’ve been keeping up with S.H.I.E.L.D. at all you’ll know what Bobbi aka Mockingbird and Mack are spies for “the real S.H.I.E.L.D.” in order take down the current S.H.I.E.L.D., ya its confusing. Turns out that not everyone who survived the HYDRA attack still had warm, fuzzy feeling for Nick Fury and his box o’secrets. The ship that Bobbi and Hartley find Mack on during the attack was a mission by Fury to rescue Commander Robert Gonzales (Edward James Olmos) and sink the ship so the cargo didn’t fall into HYDRA hands. It also contained lives of innocent agents that would die needlessly, something that Mack, Bobbi, and Gonzales came to understand and BOOM S.H.I.E.L.D. vs 3.0 was born and in THEIR mind’s they were the real S.H.I.E.L.D..
Now we have Coulson (who escaped) and Nick Hunter on the run (kinda) working to take back S.H.I.E.L.D. (and find Skye) and we have May, Fitz, and Simmon’s being held by S.H.I.E.L.D. v3.0.
So here is my question, how will this factor into Avengers: Age of Ultron? We all know everything in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is connected and that included the TV off-shoots as we saw last year with how S.H.I.E.L.D. took on the fall out of Capt. America Winter Solder.
Age of Ultron hits theaters nation wide on May 1st and the season finale for season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is slated for May 19th. That gives us two whole post-Avengers episodes that we are assume will somehow incorporate whatever ending the movie gives. I am also assuming that since TV God Joss Whedon wrote/directed Age of Ultron and along with this brother Jed Whedon co-created S.H.I.E.L.D. there will be come cross story telling.
I’ll be the first to admit that S.H.I.E.L.D. has had its ups and down but this new story-line seems to be taking an interesting turn and now my nerd-meter has been dialed into. I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
