#MakeoverMonday | Nailed It
I love nail polish. If fact I am currently looking at my nail polish collection and realizing I need to order some color clutches (the godsend way to organize ALL my pretty polish). Like most people I tend to wear my bold, bright colors during the summer months and with so many new shades and formulas it hard to keep track of it all. So in this month’s Beauty Lust I am breaking down my favorite summer nail shades and products.
I usually have issues finding good nude nail shades. My skin tone is very cool-toned so I need to careful with the nude polishes I go with. These are the PERFECT nude shades. Hurry Up & Wait is more of a pink nude and I seriously wore this shade for two-weeks straight while Staying Neutral on This One is still pink based but very light pink based nude.
I have used this top/base coat combo on EVERY manicure I’ve given myself and man does it work. You have to follow the instructions to a T but it’s worth it. I’ve been my polish wear extended by a good 2-3 days with little to no chips. Plus the bottles remind of chess pieces so they look cute sitting on my desk.
While doing a little shopping on Nordstrom I picked up a Deborah Lippmann summer collection. Out of the four shades included I really fell in love Splish Splash which is just a fun mint color and Happy Days which is a good pinky coral shade. Both of these shades make great picks for the toes.
A good bold blue is needed during the summer. Again I used the Gel Lab Pro and I had bright shiny blue nails for a week and it’s still in current rotation of summer colors.
Okay first off the L’OREAL Infallible line is kicking major make-up ass right now and the nail polish is no different. First off, I love that the nail polish and top coat are encased in an little click stick, makes it super easy to travel with. Second, this nail formula is high pigment, high shine, and lasted with zero to minimal chips for about 7 days. I should note I did use the Gel Lab Pro base coat but I did use the included top coat. I am so planning on picking up more shades.
