Lone Survivor Tops Box Office with $38.5M
After coming back on top last weekend, Frozen was knocked back down by Lone Survivor. The war drama starring Mark Wahlberg is based on the true story of Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and SEAL Team 10, who went on the failed mission “Operation Red Wings” on June 28, 2005. The film brought in a total of $38.5 million and has been well received by both critics and movie goers. Frozen is still going strong, coming in at #2 with $15 million. Moving up to one spot to #3 was The Wolf of Wall Street earning $9 million. At #4 was the box office flop, The Legend of Hercules opening with only $8.6 million. American Hustle remained at #5 with $8.6 million.
