#HappyHour – St. Patty’s Pre-Game
Saint Patrick’s Day might still be a few days away but that doesn’t mean we can’t get the party started a little bit early! While some might get their Shamrock party on via McDonald’s Shamrock Shake, I want something with a little more zing, enter in the Bourbon Tarragon Cooler. And since we all need something to nosh on, try this Irish Soda Bread scones. Get all the deets about how to make this cocktail and scones below.

2 parts Maker’s Mark® Bourbon
1 piece Serrano pepper, cut in half and deseeded
2 parts Serrano-infused Maker’s Mark® Bourbon*
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
½ part agave syrup
Pinch of salt
1 cup ice
4 sprigs tarragon
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until the ice is pureed. Serve immediately.
*For serrano-infused Maker’s Mark® Bourbon, combine the pepper and Maker’s Mark® Bourbon in an airtight container and allow it to macerate for at least 2 days. Store in the fridge and shake container gently twice a day.
Ava’s Cupcakes Irish Soda Bread Scone with Guinness Glaze

2 Cups All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons cold Butter
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 egg, room temperature
1/2 cup Raisins- optional
Glaze:
1/2 Cup Guinness
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
Directions
Scone
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly.
Combine wet ingredients, add to dry mix until incorporated.
Place dough onto floured surface, gently knead into a flat disk, cut with cutter or into pie shaped pieces
Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Glaze
Pour stout into saucepan over medium heat and reduce by half
Add 10X sugar, remove from heat, blend until smooth
Pour heaping teaspoon over each cooled scone
Allow a few moments to dry and serve
