Happy Hour ~ Are You Ready for Some Football??
In case you’re living under a rock, then you’ll know that this Sunday is Super Bowl 50 aka the biggest football of the year. Now normally I wouldn’t really care about football BUT my hometown’s team, the Denver Broncos, are playing, so you know I have to be all supportive.
Now the best part about the Super Bowl are the parties, even if you don’t like, or in my case understand, football you can eat, drink and be merry. To help you raise the bar at your local Super Bowl shindig, here are some Super Bowl inspired eats and drinks.
Spicy Baja Dip
With Hellmann’s Carefully Crafted Dressing & Sandwich Spread

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 45 seconds
4 medium cloves garlic, unpeeled
2 cups frozen, shelled edamame, cooked according to package directions
1/2 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves
5 Tbsp. Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Carefully Crafted Dressing and Sandwich Spread
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
Put garlic in small microwave safe bowl. Cover and microwave at HIGH until tender, about 45 seconds. Let cool slightly then removes skins.
Process garlic and remaining ingredients in food processor until smooth. Serve, if desired, with gluten-free crackers, corn chips and/or fresh vegetable sticks.

Directions: Fill shaker with ice and add Ménage à Trois Vodka, Tres Agaves Agave Nectar, 3 mint leaves, and lemon juice. Shake and pour into a highball glass. Top with ginger beer to taste and garnish with a mint leave that has been smacked in your palm.

Directions: Combine Maker’s Cask Strength, Cognac, Amaro, creme de banana and Peppermint Bitters into a mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir for 10 seconds. Strain into coupe glass.

1 part lemon juice
½ part honey syrup*
1 teaspoon chopped jalapeño
Combine ingredients into a shaker and fill with ice. Shake for 5 seconds and double strain into a coup glass. Garnish with a jalapeño ring.
* Honey Syrup: Combine 1 cup honey and ½ cup water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Stir, then take off heat and refrigerate.
