Glamour On The Go Top Picks

It’s hard to believe that the holiday travel season is almost upon us. Earlier this week when I looked at my calendar I realized out that I would be on a plane at least six times over the next 8 weeks. Now since every airline now likes to charge us crazy fees to check a bag, it’s more important than ever to pay attention to how and what we are trying cram into our carry-on size suitcases.

For me, the biggest issue has always been my beauty items. It seems I never know what to bring so I end up bringing everything. However, now I am trying to pack smart with my beauty items, so I’m sharing my list of my new favorite travel beauty items that will hopefully give me all the glamour I get when I’m at home without requiring a full on vanity.

Hair/Makeup

Maybelline THE FALSIES® PUSH UP DRAMA™We all need a good mascara and Maybelline is one of my go-to brands in this category. Their new mascara pumps up your lashes to insane levels so there is no need for packing those pesky flake lashes. Just curl, apply and go.

Covergirl OUTLAST ALL-DAY PRIMER: I need my makeup to stay put once I leave the hotel and I have found that this primer from Covergirl is one of (if not the) best one on the market. I actually have several tubes of this stuff stashed everywhere and it’s become a staple in my travel go bag.

tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette: I find that when traveling a good palette can be your best friend. I always look for a palette that has both eyes and check to really help save space. tarte has been a brand I’ve really been liking lately and it’s my cousins go-to brand as they tend to not use gluten or soy in their products. Plus their palettes are really pretty, almost like works of art.

Woosh Beauty Fold Out Face PaletteIf I’m looking to pack a full-face palette, Woosh beauty is my new go-to. Woosh just recently launched over on HSN and their fold out face palette is a life saver. This palette literally has everything from eyes to contour to foundation to highlight and is designed to take less than 10-minutes. It’s brilliant.

CLINIQUE Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer: Now if I’m looking to go with a more full coverage foundation, I’m going to back a liquid formulation and a good go-to for travel is Beyond Perfecting from Clinique. This is actually a concealer/foundation combo, so I can apply it as as a foundation in certain areas and switch over to a concealer in the areas that need a lighter touch.

Too Faced Melted French Kisses: I always try to keep a few lip shades on hand when I travel as I never really know what my mood or the situation will dictate. The Melted line from Too Faced is a favorite of mine as it’s a gloss/stick combo that is great to travel with and provides good solid color. The new French Kisses set actually includes four mini tubes in both matte and metallic shades so I know I’ll be covered.

DryBar The Four Pack: When I go on short trips, I usually will get a blow-out the morning I leave and pack some DryBar essentials to keep my hair looking salon fresh. The new four pack gives me travel sized versions of my favorites: Triple Sec, Detox, Sparkling Soda, and Money Maker. Detox is one of my favorite dry shampoos while Triple Sec is a great 3-in1 styling spray giving texture and volume. Money Maker hairspray keeps things in place and Sparkling soda adds shine.

Tools

Woosh™ Beauty The MMS™ Mobile Makeup System BagEvery gal needs a good travel makeup bag. I find train cases to be too clunky and take up WAY too much space. Woosh Beauty solved the problem with the MMS bag. This bag will hold everything from your brushes to palettes and even includes a cinch pouch to hold loose items like eye-lash curler, mascaras, etc.

DryBar The Tress Press Digital Styling IronNo one loves having to pack separate hot tools for different functions, myself included. DryBar heard our pleas and came out with the Tress Press. Use it as a flat iron or use it as a curling iron, the floating plates allow you straighten with ease and the round edges allow for easy curling. It’s multi-use at its finest.

Smashbox ART. LOVE. COLOR. BRUSHESHaving a good travel brush set is a constant wish I make. I always think I have found one but its an illusion. My search might just be over with Smashbox’s new travel brush set. It includes just the staples: Foundation Brush, Lip Brush, Shader Brush, Fan Brush, and Brow Brush, which is really all you need when traveling.
