Get the Look: Rosamund Pike at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards

I might not have loved Rosamund Pike’s Vera Wang gown but her hair and makeup was totally on point thanks to Sisley, Chanel, and MAKE UP FOR EVER beauty products.

Celebrity Makeup Artist, Melanie Inglessis is to thank for creating Rosamund’s sultry burgundy smoky eye “The inspiration for any red carpet look begins with the dress. Rosamund’s dress is classic with ethereal, Greek goddess elements. The cream color of the dress allows me to play with color. I wanted the makeup to be a little rock and roll and accentuate her gorgeous eyes with a soft, smokey Grey and plum color.”

To get this look at home Melanie began by prepping with a mist of Sisley Floral Spray Mist and MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Nourishing Primer (available in March 2015) to instantly refresh the skin. She then used a drop of the Black Rose Precious Face Oil and the Hydra Global Intense Anti-Aging Hydration for perfectly moisturized skin. Be sure warmed the products with your hands and massage them into the face. This was followed by CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for light, luminous coverage. Using the MAKE UP FOR EVER Small Highlighter Brush #140, Melanie applied CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base to warm her skin, then concentrated on her cheekbones to contour naturally. Next, she applied MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush #215 Pink Flamingo onto the apple of her cheeks. She then perfected her complexion with MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder.

To ensure bright eyes Inglessis applied a thick layer of the Sisley Eye Contour Mask. Wipe it off a few minutes later for a radiant appearance.  Keep it in your fridge overnight which helps to invigorate the skin and reduce puffiness. Under the eyes she used Sisley’s Phyto-Cernes Eclat concealer. The metal applicator is cooling and helps to further reduce puffiness. For Rosamund’s brows, Inglessis began with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Brow #15 Blonde.

To create Rosamund’s soft, smokey eyes Melanie began with MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liner #I-16 Iridescent Taupe Grey and MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liner #M-60 and applied it along the top and bottom lashes in a thick line. She blended Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Mirage over the line and feathered it up to the crease using MAKE UP FOR EVER Large Precision Shader Brush #244 then blended using the MAKE UP FOR EVER Medium Blender Brush #218 in a back and forth motion.  Next she added  CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Infini into the outer corner of the crease and applied with MAKE UP FOR EVER Medium Precision Crease Brush #232 to add depth to the smoky eye look. Next she used MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash in Extra Black on the top lashes, and used CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir on the bottom lashes for a sultry look..

For the lips, she applied a thick layer of Sisley’s Nutritive Lip Balm. This is wiped off just before the lipstick is applied to keep lips moisturized. She defined Rosamund’s lips with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil #5C Beige Brown and completed the look with a touch of CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Ingénue.
