DKNY Fall 2015 New York Is…
It’s always refreshing when a designer keeps finding new inspiration in a city like New York. DKNY has always been about taking bits and pieces of NYC and translating that into the clothes. You’d think after 25+ years, Donna Karan and team would start to wane in their commitment to using their designs as a love letter to the Big Apple, but each season they surprise me with a collection that is big, bold, edgy, and bright just like the city itself.
For Fall 2015, its all about what New York Is… and in this case its about the New York Uniform. A mix of bold jewel tones like omni blue, super red and electric purple, neutrals like heather grey, navy, camel, classics in black and white. Silhouettes that take a modern spin on menswear, sculpted fit and flare dresses, tapered trousers, and high neck ribbed turtle neck dresses.
