DIY – Throw a Hollywood Worthy Red Carpet Viewing Party

The New Year brings many things resolutions, cold weather, and most importantly Red Carpet season. The first major red carpet of the season will kick off with the 72nd Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, January 11th. One of my favorite parts of Red Carpet season is throwing a chic and fabulous viewing party since there is nothing better than discussing who is best and worst dressed with your friends while noshing on something decadent and sipping on some bubbly.
Here are my tips to throwing a red carpet worthy viewing party.
Drink Options
While Champagne is the most common beverage served at viewing parties, make sure to have other options to your guests. Now this doesn’t mean to just grab a couple of bottles of soda and put them on the table, that is not chic. Try going with sparking juice (juice made with sparkling water) or fresh tea like Darjeeling or Oolong with pair great with milk chocolate. It’s important to have all the proper cups and plates as well.
Indulge a Little
While the ladies on the red carpet might be cleansing and triple layering their Spanx to ensure they look fabulous, those of us viewing at home have the luxury to indulge a little.
