Disney DIY ~ Mickey Mouse Gummy Treats

Welcome to week #4 of Disney Treats Month. Sadly this is our last treats post for the month BUT don’t worry, we are dedicating one Friday a month to DIY Disney Treats. This week we decided to make something everyone loves…gummies.

Especially Mickey Mouse gummies.

Now our original plan was to use this super cute Disney ice cube tray BUT we had to go with plan B. Which to be honest worked out so much better. Plan B just happened to be the Mickey Mouse Gummy Treat Maker. Not only is it super cute but it also makes it super easy to make these yummy treats.

As for the recipes, we made two different batches. One boozy and one sans the booze for the kiddos. Now we found a recipe for pink lemonade gummies online which was just okay. The snacks looked super cute but they just barely tasted of pink lemonade. We are gonna need to experiment a bit more to get the flavor right but in the meantime, you can use this super handy pre-made mix.

Now the boozy batch turned out great. We got this recipe from one of those Buzzfeed Tasty videos and it is super easy. All you really need is some Rosé wine, sugar, and about 2 packets of powdered gelatin. To mix you can either use the little cooking pot aka Mickey of the gummy maker. But if you’re like us and don’t want to wait that long you can heat everything up in the microwave.

Once the mix is ready just CAREFULLY pour into the molds.  The bigger molds are pretty easy to fill but for the smaller molds, we found it easier to use a little dropper. Just make sure to get all the air bubbles out.  Once the molds are filled, pop them in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes (we suggest letting them setup for an hour to really firm up).

Then you eat them. The little kids were thrilled with these snacks. We actually had to stop them from eating the whole plate. As for the boozy treats, those were super yummy and tasted just like the Rosé we know and love.

Now that we’ve come to the end of Disney Treats month, what was your favorite treat that we made? Let us know in the comments. Also if there is a specific Disney treat you want us to try, let us know. We are always open to suggestions.
