Day to Night Look That’s as Easy as Pie

I am a pretty busy gal 95% of the time, between working a full 8-9 hours at the office then either dinner, cocktails, previews or events at night, I don’t really have time to go home and do a full wardrobe change, I also try not to come into the office in full on evening glam. I mean I have and don’t care about the odd looks I get, I just prefer a little more of a “day” look during the 9-5 hours. This is why I try to always have a really quick and simple way to take my day look and magically transform it to a night. It’s all about the accessories.

I 90% of the time wear dresses and most of the dresses in my wardrobe fall into the either/or category, meaning I can wear them during the day or night. I try to buy pieces that are not exclusive to a certain time of day.

DAY

My day look consists of a fun fit and flare dress, a casual bomber jacket, some comfy slip-ons, and a cute yet funky handbag (and yet the phone part is real, works with any cell phone).  The best part about this look is how easy and effortless it is. I don’t have to think too hard, I just grabbed a few accessories and a jacket to make it a full on “day” look.

NIGHT

Same dress but the look and feel is totally different. To make the look more “night” I just swapped out the handbag for clutch, the slip-ons for some wedges, and the bomber for a cape blazer. Three very simple changes but yet not I look ready for anything from cocktails with the girls to a dinner or perhaps a date.
