Cosmoprof North America is not for the faint of heart. Nicole and I arrived at the Mandalay Bay convention center ready for a day full of beauty. Our goal here is find new, fun and exciting brands that we can show off to you, our loyal readers. Day 1 introduced us some great new and new-to-us beauty bands that we cannot to further explore.
Stop 1: Sarah Potempa
This is the must have curling iron, in fact it is now at the top of both of our wish lists. The best part about this wand is that auto-rotation. Just clamp hair, choose right or left, hit go and viola beach waves.
Stop 2: ShadeScout by FaceCake
Available in iOS, this innovative app allows you to take a picture of an object, and it will pull up products in the market that closely match the color of the object pictured. We loved that the products pulled up on the app range from affordable drugstore brands, to high end products, so you can find one that suits your budget. It is especially good to find affordable “dupes” for higher end products.
Stop 3: Eylure Lashes
No makeup look is complete without a set of fabulous lashes. We stopped by the Eylure Lashes booth to get Las Vegas worthy lashes applied. Misti got Vegas Nay Shining Star for voluminous, full lashes, while Nicole went with the starter kit (No. 101) for volume, since she is a beginner and never used eyelashes before. The starter kit comes with a practice lash to give you an extra try to make sure you get it just right.
Stop 5: O.R.G. Skincare
When it comes to skincare, we are always drawn to organic brands that wont cause our skin to breakout and burn. We were introduced to the O.R.G Organic Face Peel, and Organic Body Peel that brightens and exfoliates as you rub it into your skin. Its a quick an easy process that leaves your skin feeling flawless. We also loved the Charcoal Detox Face Bar that despite its hockey puck appearance, draws toxins out of your skin, leaving it rejuvenated and squeaky clean.
Stop 6: Earth’s Nectar Hair Care
This all natural hair care line can be found in Sephora and smells divine. They make oils that can be used for hair and body plus creams that use ingredients like coconut oil.
Stop 7: Leighton Denny
We were excited to find a new nail company with new innovative one step gel system that doesn’t damage your natural nails. With super chic packaging, this UK based “nail expert” has combined gorgeous shades with a luxurious formula that will make your at home mani look professional.
