Box Office: That Awkward Moment Couldn’t Stop Ride Along
Ride Along continues to do well at the box office, remaining at #1 for the third weekend in a row. It earned $12.3 million, bringing it’s total gross to $92.9 million. Frozen moved back up two spots to #2 taking in $9.3 million. It’s Frozen’s 10th out of its 11th weeks in the box office that it has remained in the top 4. The “brom com” That Awkward Moment starring Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan failed to bring in moviegoers and made less than expected. The movie opened at #3 close behind Frozen with $9.3 million. The Nut Job moved down one spot to #4 bringing in $7.6 million. Lone Survivor continues to do well in it’s 6th week in theaters coming in at #5 with $7.1 million. It was Labor Day that was a big disappointment in the box office this weekend. With all the advertising and a Golden Globe nomination for Kate Winslet, the film still couldn’t break into the top five. Labor Day opened at #7 with $5.3 million.
