#BeautyLust NARS Summer 2016 Collection
NARS always has great collections but I really think they’ve outdone themselves with their Summer 2016 Collection – Under Cover. Even at first glance it’s cute and chic, thanks in large part to the original illustrations by contemporary artist Konstantin Kakanias, but that is just the literal wrappings, the product underneath is as always 100% on point.
For summer François Nars is giving us new additions to his Dual-Intensity line with new eyeshadows that range from barely there nudes to shocking blues, and blushes that will give that perfect summer glow. There are also the new lip glosses aptly named Lip Covers that are ready to take from pool-side to cocktails. Just like when François gave us the perfect Orgasm flush, he once again tows that line by naming these beauties Topless, Tan Lines, Do Not Disturb, Get Dirty, and Sexual Content. Speaking of Orgasm, be sure to pick up the special edition of this popular shade. It’s bigger, sexier, and was done in collaboration with Fabien Baron of Baron & Baron
So what are my favorites you ask? After have a few days to play with the collection I have to say that Sexual Content is my new favorite blush combo, use dry during the day for a barely there glow and wet it down at night for a more dialed-up look. In shadowland Topless and Tan Lines are the perfect everyday summer colours BUT if you are looking to add a pop of something bold, go with Deep End which works great as an eye-line as well as shadow.
On the lip front, Do Not Disturb might just be the perfect orange lip, it’s got just enough red in it so it’s super neon. If you are wanting more of a nude lip then Overheated is for you with is rose gold hues, and because red lips never go out of style, there is Members Only (like the jacket but chicer).
