And the Oscar for Best Movie Snack Goes to…M&M’s
Let’s face it, if there was an Oscar given out for best movie snack it would go to M&M’S®. I’m one of those people that no matter if I’m watching a movie at home or in the theater, I need me some candy to snack on and lets face it you can NEVER go wrong with M&M’s.
Now, I am a peanut girl myself but I’m also fond of the crispy variety, however classic milk chocolate work for just about any snacking need and as we gear up for Hollywood’s biggest night, it’s important to have a variety of snacking options for guests (or yourself).
Going for a homemade dessert? Try a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe using classic milk chocolate M&M’s in place of the chips. They are fun, easy are sure to please. Another fun twist on a classic treat is M&M’s rice crispy treats. Just mix in some M&M’s in with rice cereal, add in melted marshmallow, spread in a pan, chill and you’re good to go.
A classic way to serve your guests their “melt in their mouth, not in their hands” treat is making sure there are bowls located throughout the rooms. However, if you’re looking to jazz it up a little bit, try serving up the M&M’s in Champagne flutes (pictured below). It’s festive, cute, and theme appropriate.
For a fun way to serve the chocolate treats try mixing the M&M’s with fresh popcorn, its a sweet n’ salty mix that is sure to please.
A fun twist on classic party desserts is to let guests decorate their own cupcakes or even have an ice cream bar letting guests build their own sundae. M&M’s are classic toppings for either treat.
