A Lazy Girls Guide to Skincare
Here’s a fun fact, I’m lazy sometimes with my skincare. I was raised from an early age to always take your makeup off and wash your face morning and night, and I still adhere to these rules. No, seriously it doesn’t matter how late it is or drunk-ish I am, my makeup always come off. These lessons my mom taught have for sured saved my skin but like I said, I’m sometimes lazy.
So how does a lazy gal deal with sticking to a skincare routine, lets start off with mornings (pictured above) shall we. In addition to running Entertainista, I also work a full-time job. This means I want as many extra minutes of sleep that I can get. Now I cannot full on skip my morning skincare completely but thanks to the new genius products like Cleansing Micellar Water from Simple Skincare washing off the dirt, grime, and whatever else is clinging to your face is a simple as three steps: 1) Grab cleansing water & a few cotton pads 2) Soak cotton pads 3) Wipe cotton pads all over face (and gently) over eyes. Boom you’re done, no need to rise. Follow this up with a hydrating eye cream and a water based moisturizer like the new Hydro Boost line from Neutrogena.
I’m not gonna lie, I actually keep all of these above right by my bed since 98% of the time, once I’m sitting on my bed in my pj’s with the bra off, finding motivation to get up is just not happening. I always start off by removing my eye makeup and LIVE for the Almay Longwear Eye Makeup Remover, it will literally remove anything. I use one Simple Cleansing Wipe to remove my makeup and any traces of the eye makeup remover then I go over my face again with a second wipe to actual clean my face. I use the same eye cream morning and night (Neutrogena Hydro Boost) and then slather the Olay Regenerist Luminous Overnight Mask. This mask leaves my skin baby soft and fills it full of good things like vitamin B3. Then I slip on my eye mask and pass out.
