2015 MTV #VMAs Beauty Trend Report
Tonight, MTV will host their annual salute to music videos with the 2015 Video Music Awards. We can always count on the VMA’s to provide crazy red carpet looks, an even crazier host (this year host with the most is Miley Cyrus), someone getting pissed off about something, and some truly amazing beauty looks.
To celebrate beauty on the VMA red carpet, COVERGIRL held a pre-show get together talking all things trends at the COVERGIRL x MTV’s Got You Covered: A Beauty Trends Forecast & Celebration. The included some of who’s who like Nicole Richie, Style Icon, Designer & TV Personality, Jake Bailey, celebrity makeup artist, Tori Kelly, singer and songwriter, Nessa, Co-host of MTV’s “Girl Code Live”, Amanda Steele, makeup and beauty expert, and Gaby Wilson, MTV Style Editor and they talking about all the upcoming trends and which ones need to stay and how to translate some of the VMA’s most iconic beauty looks to everyday.
So which beauty trends are the ones we should really care about?
FRESH FACE: A fresh face is always nice to see! Contouring makes sense for the red carpet because of the harsh lighting, but it’s not the greatest idea for every day. Keep it simple and keep a clean face, try COVERGIRLClean Liquid Makeup Foundation. Tori Kelly specifically was all about this trend and said she’s not into heavy face makeup for her performances and fears a “caked” up look on the carpet.
#LASHFAME: It’s all about the lashes! It’s a total must – no questions asked. Artists want to stand out on the red carpet and stunning eyes start at the lash.
